ボート用部品:Power Tilt and Trim Units for Outboard Engines

Functions and Roles

Power Tilt and Trim units are electro-hydraulic mechanisms driven by a motor-driven gear pump. The angle of the outboard machine is actively changed by trim function (*1), and an efficient running is secured. Tilt function (*2) is useful for the protection of the outboard engine. Moreover, the hull and the outboard engine are prevented being damaged by Shock absorbing function (*3).

(*1) Trim function: As a boat accelerates, the bow rises and the screw drops, making it difficult to transmit thrust efficiently. The trim function provides good screw efficiency and steady cruising by adjusting the angle of the outboard engine while running.

(*2) Tilt function: Enables owners to prevent outboard engine damage from shellfish adhesions, by raising the outboard engine above the water's surface when moored.

(*3) Shock absorbing function: Absorbs shocks when driftwood or other objects strike the outboard engine while under way, helping to prevent damage to the outboard engine and boat.

Types of Power Tilt and Trim units

Integrated Power Tilt Trim

Integrated power tilt trim

For large-sized outboard engines 130 to 250 PS. Trim and tilt integral casting structure. It is possible to install it in the outboard engine easily with two upper and lower pins.

Three Cylinder Power Tilt and Trim

Three cylinder Power Tilt and Trim

For large-sized outboard engines 130 to 250 PS. With a single trim and tilt casting structure, these units can be installed easily onto an outboard engine with two upper and lower pins.

Double Action Power Tilt and Trim

Double action Power Tilt and Trim

For mid-sized outboard engines 30 to 130 PS. By using a double action cylinder, we've achieved weight reductions of 30% or more compared with traditional products while maintaining the trim and tilt functions with just one cylinder.

Power Tilt for Small Outboard Engines

Power tilt For small outboard engines

Below 30 PS. Placing the motor inside the reservoir allowed us to extensively review the layout and achieve a compact size
